JAC Motors established a formal partnership with Elizade Autoland (a subsidiary of the Elizade Group) in 2017 to serve as its sole distributor for passenger and light commercial vehicles in Nigeria. This partnership marked a significant turning point, bringing Japanese-standard after-sales support to Chinese engineering.
A key differentiator for JAC in Nigeria is its local assembly presence. Vehicles are assembled at the Elizade Autoland Assembly Plant in Ikotun, Lagos, which has a capacity of 15,000 units per shift. This facility ensures that models like the T6, T8, and the newer JS series are "tropicalized"—specifically reinforced with heavy-duty suspension and enhanced cooling systems to withstand Nigerian road conditions and heat.
The brand has earned significant accolades, including "Truck Plant of the Year" and "Most Improved Brand" at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Awards. In late 2025, Elizade reinforced its commitment by launching the flagship T9 Pickup and JS8 Pro SUV, backed by an industry-competitive 5-Year / 150,000km Warranty.
